Touch 5G case for Man

Hi. I'm helping my Grandfather buy a Touch 5G and part of that is, I'm on case detail. Now, I'm a girl, and I know what I love in my cases, but I have a feeling that guys have some different criteria and maybe use theirs in different ways. I know that a lot of 5G cases haven't become available yet, but I'm hoping I can get some recommendations of brands and styles from the older generations that I can keep an eye out for in 5G format.
I've seen Otterbox around, any feed back about their cases?
He is retired, has mentioned an interest in leather(I'm not sure if there are any leather cases that aren't a 'flip' style, but any leather cases you know of, I'm just giving him options!) and is looking for muted colors(black iPod, so black/brown, etc). I don't think ease of docking is much of an issue.

Other than that, I just want to hear what you men (or the men in your life!) like, even if it's just a particular case feature.
