Hey guys,
I have an ipod here with some music on it. I no longer have the PC which the music came from. I have a new lap top with which im about to down load itunes on to and put some new music on it. Can i update my ipod with on the new laptop putting the new music on it and keeping the old stuff there aswell? Thanks. |

Yes you can do that through manual syncing. However, it would be better if you copied the old music off of the iPod and put it on your new computer. Then you can use auto-sync as usual and pair your iPod with your new iTunes library. Better yet, if you are storing your library on your computer's internal hard drive, you would be wise to spend $30 and purchase a 250GB USB 2.0 hard drive to put your library on (or at least serve as a backup). That way you don't have to rely on your iPod as your sole means of storing media and you won't have to worry about something happening to your new computer.
