Cannot sync music or apps, PLEASE help!!

Hello all, I'm having problems with my iTouch 4G, 32gb. It was all fine as normal, then one night I go to play my music and randomly all the music has been wiped! Just like that. I figure no problem, next morning I'll re-sync, but when I did the problems started.

Firstly when I sync music over, it is all messed up on the ipod. e.g. when I play a song, at 0:00 should be the start but it will actually be in the middle of the song somewhere, though it still says 0:00. So the songs have been jumbled up like this. Some songs I click on the ipod, it just freezes for a few seconds then back to library (though the song won't play still). Then the odd few will play.

I also noticed problems with installing apps from the laptop in itunes. When I'm plugged in, the apps will sync but then on the ipod it will say failed to install. Nothing will install. I don't know why my ipod has suddenly become useless towards my laptop. Everything in the ipod functions (albeit not the music), it just doesn't like anything from laptop whatsoever. I can download and install in the ipod fine, it just dont like the laptop doing the work!

I've tried on other laptops and it's FINE, but what is wrong with my own!??!

Also, I can't even restore my ipod in my laptop, it just hangs on the load bar, though it will do fine on other laptops. I'm not convinced my ipod is buggered, it just don't like my laptop!

I've tried the obvious things like restoring, reinstalling itunes (per itunes's support instructions), updating, a different user login on my laptop. I don't know what it is with my laptop. Nothing big was changed on either end, this was just a random new beginning. I've not hacked it either.

I would appreciate some help so much!
