Question Invisible Itouch to Windows 7 !

Using Windows 7, SP 1.
There is no Ipod, Iphone or Ipad found on the device connectivity test in Itunes....when it is connected or not.
There is no drive in My Computer indicating an external drive...while USB connectivity is fine for Flash Drives.
There is no reference to the device in Device Manager....anywhere.
Leaving only Apple drivers in MSconfig and does not help..or in Services.msc.
Uninstalled and Reinstalled Itunes has not helped.
I did a system restore to one month ago...it may not have been working them
The Itouch is detected even though I don't have Itunes on it on my other computer running Windows 7.
I am assuming a registry error....anyone have any idea how this thing can be healed or at least resuscitated !

Well of course Windows doesn't see an Itouch since there is no such thing as an Itouch. That's like saying Windows doesn't see the flying spaghetti monster floating above your house.

OK, in all seriousness, it sounds like something is wrong with the background program Apple Mobile Device Support. I suggest you open up the Control Panel and uninstall every bit of Apple software you come across as there will be more than just iTunes. Then re-download a new iTunes installation file from Apple's website and install it. Make sure you download the appropriate version as there are two: 32-bit and 64-bit. Sometimes Apple's website is unable to determine if the version of Windows being run is 32-bit or 64-bit. You want to download the installer that is appropriate for the version of Windows you are using.

Solved

I reset my computer bios to default setting and disabled legacy USB support(which I had enabled when the Itouch wasn't detected). I restarted the computer and it booted to my old disk with XP on it. I plugged in the Itouch into the front usb ports and the one on the printer with no luck. I then shut down the computer unplugged it and put it into a rear port, rebooted
and the Itouch was detected. I had plugged it into the rear once before, rebooted with Windows 7 with nil luck.
I then rebooted the computer into Windows 7 with the Itouch in and it worked. I then plugged it into the hub(which I had misplaced) and it worked.
One Flash drive worked fine from the front USB port so I thought it might be good, all worked from the printer USB port. I assume now that there was signal loss at least on the ports on the front of the computer and printer due to there being so many(4) connections plugged in the rear....while the hub is powered. And whatever happened when legacy support was again disabled I do not know..though I expect nothing should have happened...maybe all of the other work I did previously allowed all of the above to work well. Thanks for the suggestion.
