Specific question about syncing

I am temporarily using a borrowed iPod Touch while I look for mine, which seems to be hiding from me at the present time.

I want to transfer a few apps from my iTunes library to the borrowed iPod. In iTunes, I have selected Manual Sync, and chosen the apps I want to transfer.

When I select Sync, I get a warning that 14 apps will be removed from the iPod. (I think these are apps that are on the iPod, but not presently in my iTunes library.)

I don't want to remove anything from the borrowed iPod, .... just add a couple of apps.

How can I do this without also removing the 14 apps?

Thanks......
Tony in Saskatoon Canada

You can't manually sync apps without deleting ones that are already on an iPod. The only way to get your apps onto that iPod is to log into the App Store, directly on the iPod, with your Apple ID and manually download them directly withi the iPod itself bypassing iTunes.
