Design Flaw

Why why why?!!! Is the headphone jack on the gen4 iPod Touch on the bottom? How much stress can my headphones stand? Anybody have a good solution?

Get a headphone extender. You can usually pick them up for under $10.

Also, it isn't a design flaw. It's how it was meant to be by Apple.

Yes get extender, or go complain at the apple store, they might give you one for free

I wouldn't call it a flaw but an improvement. When the iPod is in your pocket who cares where the jack is. With my 5G while holding the iPod to view the screen the headphone jack is at the top with a severe bend, which wires hate, stressing the cable and the headphone jack. With my iPods that have the jack on the bottom the cable hangs naturally straight down with less stress on the wires in the headphone cable and the jack. But, YMMV depending on how you use your iPod.
