i tried charging my ipod touch (32GB) last night and it wouldnt charge or even turn on, and my computer doesnt even pick up a device.
does anyone know whats wrong with my ipod ? |

the same happened to me becz the ipod battery was shorten i went to the store and got a new one

My Ipod 32G has just done the same thing. The screen remains black, when I plug it into my computer or wall charger it doesn't respond, and I can't do a reset of any kind! I have tried everything on the internet, on the iTunes help pages, but nothing works. this is ridiculous

If your computer is your only means to which to charge your ipod, you are going to be in it for the long haul. The battery has been allowed to drain too low for itunes to recognize it. Get a wall charger and allow it to charge untouched for at least an hour.

Well i advise nobodi to try and jailbreak their ipod if u have 4.3.2 and 10.2.2 i tried froze my screen had to restore to factory settings,, hopefulli i wont have to do my music ova..

I would let the battery drain for a few days and try to charge it again (if the computer picks up the device). If the computer doesn't even pick up its signals, I would call customer service.

My ipod was fully charged, i got it in march, i charged it 20 mins before i went out, when i got there i went too go on the internet, checked my facebook, then i locked it, i talked to my dad for like 2 minutes, then when i tried to unlock it, it wouldnt react? nothing, its just black like its locked and not been touched =/, then i just plugged it into my computer with the usb, and my computer doesnt detect it! this is NOT good ;/ please help me ASAP!

mine is the EXACTLY the same, but its 3 months old! thats it! did you get an answer on how to fix it?? im gonna DIE. its brand new and my bday present!

If you didn't do anything to cause it, you should be able to get it fixed or get a replacement from where you got it.
This is of course if you can't get it to work. |

Press the awake/sleep button on top of the iPod touch and the home circle button by the bottom of the iPod touch at the same time and hold it until it comes to life again.

I have the exact same problem as you! It first started with connecting problems, so I bought a new usb cable, but it wouldn't work either! Then my screen turned completely black, and it don't want to charge anywhere! not on any computer, not with a wall charger... -.-
please help! |
