Those are all reasonably good cases. Things to look out for is Dock compatibility if you plan to use a Dock with your iPod touch for either charging/syncing or external speakers, since taking the device in and out of a case all the time will be a nuisance, and with some cases can actually weaken the case.
The problem with the iPod touch 4G is that due to the way the Dock Connector is designed, most cases aren't going to provide great compatibility with Docks while the device is in the case. Most of Speck's cases suffer from this problem, while I believe SwitchEasy's Colors is a bit more Dock-friendly, depending on the Dock you're using. Again, this will only be a concern if you plan to use a Dock Connector speaker or charging dock with your device. If you're looking to do a lot of gaming with the iPod touch, Speck's CandyShell Grip is a nice variation on the basic Candyshell, and it's what I currently have on my 4G iPod touch, although I don't use that device nearly as much as my iPhone 4, which is currently sporting a SwitchEasy Trim case. Ultimately, it's going to come down to personal preference, of course. These cases all have nice designs behind them, and they're all good, solid choices. Speck, Incipio and SwitchEasy have all been top performers in the case business; Belkin less so as of late.

I've been trying to decide between the Speck Grip or one of the Switcheasy's. I know most switcheasy's are usually compatible and they come with a dock adapter. I don't care too much for the rebel though, so I've been holding off to see if they release any additional models for the 4g. |

Sadly, no. To be fair, the iPod touch 4G has a weird Dock Connector arrangement due to its extreme thinness, which makes it difficult for any case to support a dock unless it's basically open at the bottom.

how does the quality compare between speck and switcheasy? are the covered buttons on both still easy to use? i'm just basically looking for a nice hybrid case. dock compatibility would be nice but not a deal-breaker. |

Both Speck and SwitchEasy make great cases and have some very unique designs. SwitchEasy has the most pack-ins with their cases, which almost always include screen film, separate plugs to protect the Dock Connector and headphone ports and often even Universal Dock inserts. Speck also includes screen film with their cases. Ultimately, however, it comes down to personal preference among their case styles. With my iPhone 3GS I used a Speck CandyShell almost exclusively and loved it, but am now using the SwitchEasy Trim with my iPhone 4 as I simply like the design better and it provides a very nice, solid grip.
Note also that if you're planning on using screen film, I'd recommend actually not worrying about the included film and picking up the Power Support anti-glare or crystal film instead (subject to your preferences). Power Support also sells screen films under the brand Trü protection -- they're the exact same films, just packages under a different brand.
