I have an 8GB iPod touch, with the model # MC086C
I want to know if its 2ND or 3RD Gen. Plz Help. |

There wasn't a third generation (3G) 8GB iPod touch. ALL 8GB iPod touch models sold during the 3G time period were in fact 2G iPods. Apple just didn't tell anyone when they picked up an 8GB iPod touch. Only the 32GB and 64GB models were true 3G iPod touch devices, the 8GB model being sold right next to them was a 2G iPod touch.
The model number you listed is just that: a 2G 8GB iPod touch.
