You know, you could have made one thread regarding all of your 4G (not 4rth) iPod touch questions instead of making a series of them. The chip speed of the A4 processor is presumed to be 1GHz, the same as in the iPad. Concrete facts regarding the actual clock speed of the A4 in both the iPhone 4 and 4G iPod touch have not been released. Some argue that it isn't running at the full speed in the iPod touch as it has insane battery life numbers. They might be right, they might be wrong. Either way Apple has not come out with an official statement. It doesn't matter though, the 4G iPod touch is fast and has no issues running iOS 4.1.
