Unfortunately my house was broken into and numerous electronics were stolen, including my laptop AND external hard drives with all of my music.
I have a 64 GB 2nd gen iPod touch and was wondering if there is a SIMPLE way to transfer my songs, playlists, and apps from my touch to my new laptop with windows 7? Is there any software out there that can accomplish this? (Even if it is not free) Can I put it in disk mode and transfer everything over that way? Thanks! |

SharePod, is great and free and compatible with iOS 4.0 and iTunes 9.2, it will transfer all you songs back to your PC rename them via there tag info, organize them into artist\album folders and even import them to your iTunes library if you want.
With your playlists you can connect to iTunes, under "Devices" right click on the playlist you want to transfer to your PC and select Export. Then Go up to the menu bar and select File>Library>Import Playlists and import them into your iTunes library. |

All the apps at worst you can download again - apple will not charge you for any app you already purchased.

Well sharepod half worked. It transferred all of my songs by artists up to the letter B, but says every single one else failed. Anyone have experience with this? I do not have OS4 on this 3rd gen touch.

Just a small update. After resetting the Sharepod software a few times it is slowly but surely updating all 10,000 of my songs.
