Why do iTouch screens go Negative???

Seriously...I turn it on and the screen is Negative like a Film Negative! It's happening more and more, usually I can get rid of it when I switch it off and On again. But why does it do that to begin with?

What is an iTouch?

It sounds like it could be a hardware or software error. The first thing you should do is completely restore your iPod touch. This will erase absolutely everything on it and put it back to factory settings. It will also eliminate any software errors that you might have. A hardware issue would be to blame if your iPod touch continues to do this. FYI - you are talking about just your iPod touch, not every model out there. Hence why your thread title should be "Why does my iPod touch screen go negative?"

I took it to the local Apple store, and after like 15 trys I finally got it to pull up a Black screen! Showed to one of the techs who thought it was a feature and was looking for a setting to switch it back! After awhile they decided that I needed to restore it as well! Took over an hour with 3,000 tunes! But after all said and done, it has done it twice!!!! Hmmmmmmmmm.........

Well, you might be encountering a hardware issue then. These things come off of assembly lines so they aren't going to be perfect. Hardware is going to fail, people are going to experience software issues, and some units are going to be lemons. That is just the nature of assembly lines. It doesn't matter if you are buying a $10 CD, $400 portable mp3 player, or a $75,000 car; assembly lines always introduce error.

That still doesn't mean that every iPod touch out there is experiencing this issue. You can either take it back to the Apple Store and see if they will give you a refurbished model (they will do this if it is still within the one year warranty) or look to get rid of it some how.
