Question iPod Touch video issue

Hi everyone! newbie here, nice forum!

I have a little issue I'd like help to solve, it's on a touch, 2G sys 2.2.1. It's currently synced with a pc.

The first thing that happened was on iTunes, 2 artists disappeared. Gone from the library database, but still in the music directory. A few days after that, all my movies and video podcasts on the iPod were gone. iTunes said there was still 4.6 GB Other and didn't see the video files.

Is there anything I can do to recover these files before restoring the iPod? Does this have anything to do with the missing music in iTunes?

Thanks in Advance!

BTW, all virus software up to date.

that did nothing but clear my personal info. A better question now would be: how do I backup all the data on ot without getting the corrupted bid files?

Thanks

Try Restoring it again, something may have gone wrong on the first attempt.
