There are YouTube videos that show how to replace, but if it's under warrenty I'd just have Apple deal with it

Tried holding both lock and home button for 10 seconds and switch it off, then switch it back on?

Someone's poundin' on the hotel door, he wishes he was dead
I've had so many blackout nights before, I don't think I can take this anymore
Why don't ya pass the gun around, give everyone a shot, give everyone a shot

Hmm, an i touch... Are those ipod touch clones? Ebay bought? Maybe its just crappy clone quality that you have.
Im joking... Sync your ipod then put it into dfu mode, restore it and then just re sync it with the old sync. See if that fixes it, if not its most likely hardware.
