Hey,
I just recently bought an 8GB iPod Touch and I would like to know how long it will last before I need to buy a new one (disregarding unforeseen accidents). I have heard that the battery only has about 500 charge cycles, but I also heard that the SSD has a finite amount of writes (I have already synced my iPod Touch a lot). How many times is too much to overwrite the information on the iPod? I also left my iPod Touch connected to my laptop and have barely used it disconnected from my laptop yet, is this a wise thing to do? Thnaks for any help. |

Except for the battery, it will pretty much last until after you're looking for a replacement. The battery life may fade in a few years depending on how you use it, but you can always have the battery replaced.
Don't worry about the SSD. |
