The Zen X-fi is a very capable player, just don't put too much faith into the X-fi labeling. It turns out that the X-fi pumps out the same quality as the normal Zen (the one it is replacing). This means that the audio quality is fine but Creative is just trying to sell more units by slapping on the X-fi name. Think of it this way: cars have been running on unleaded gasoline for quite a bit of time but manufacturers now decide to use that as a marketing ploy so they slap a label on each and every car that says "Powered by gasoline!"
The X-fi is still a good player and I would go with it over an iPod touch if, and only if, you plan on never, ever, ever, ever, ever browsing the web and never plan on watching videos. The wi-fi features of the X-fi are also pretty ho-hum. All-in-all the X-fi is a Zen with a new name (but same audio quality) and a cheap wi-fi antenna attached for features that you will probably never use. The iPod touch is also far superior when it comes to video playback. I have a Zen and the screen is just too small for me to enjoy any videos. That is why I use my Zen strictly when exercising when all I want to do is listen to music. I can see why you want the X-fi as the 32GB model is $279, that is $120 less than the 32GB iPod touch. In fact you could spend $399 (the cost of a 32GB iPod touch) and get a 32GB X-fi and a 32GB SDHC memory card making the total storage 64GB in size and it would all be solid state. I would also look at the features of the X-fi and see if it is worth spending more money on. You can surely pick up a 32GB Zen for $230 or less. I really don't think that the added features of the X-fi (mainly the new label, new controls, AM/FM radio, and weak wi-fi) are worth the added cost.

Otherwise... u can possible to use a proxy, say at your home, and your home machine would reroute uTubes traffic to you. As far as the company's FW is concern, you are talking to your home. This takes care of IP filtering. Too easy. But low-budget IT department are unsophisticated. Better IT departments will filter uTube-type traffic (look at the packet itself see what kind of traffic is it). Here if you can write a Touch application that "pack" the uTube stuff and bundle it with a harmless HTTP envelope, u may fool the FW. FW most likely looks at the envelope only.
