I previously owned an 80gig Classic, and had no problem using iDump to extract my music from my 80 gig to a folder on my computer.
Now that I transferred the music from this folder to my iTouch, and then added a bunch of individual tunes to it via iTunes, I would like to once again extract the songs from the iTouch to another folder on another computer( a new, recent purchase), and then sync my iTouch to this new computer, and then fill it again with the very same music. I tried getting iDump build 27 to recognize my iTouch-and no matter what I do, it shows no iTouch or ipod found. I've tried it under both of my computers-one has WinXP home, the other has Vista Home Premium. I understand that you first have to manually manage your music under iTunes, show all files under Windows explorer. Nothing that I've tried enables me to show my iTouch as a drive under Windows Explorer. It does still show up in iTunes. Is there another freebie program that will enable me to do what I want to do? Is it a fault of the version of firmware that my iTouch has, or the iTunes version that I'm running? |
