Question Keeping apps seperate between iPod Touch and iPhone?

There's a strong possibility I may have both before too long (I'll probably by the iPod Touch first) and was wondering if there is a way to keep apps from downloading onto both, since I'll probably use the touch more for 'fun stuff' and put the 'productivity' apps on the iPhone.

Why would you need both? The iphone has everything the touch has... You can easily organize it so you have productivity apps on one screen and fun apps on the other.

You can set the touch and iPhones Apps to sync the same way you manage videos and music in iTunes with the devices connected and choosing the Applications tab.

I would probably use the iPhone for the Productivity Apps and not even have music on there. the iPod Touch would be for music and all the other stuff not on the iPhone. It would also be used for Internet Radio and things like that.

I have both and by default they don't sync between the two anyway. When I want it on both, I simply 'purchase' it again on the second device. The app store says 'you already have purchased this, would you like to download again for free?' and I do. This way the touch has mostly just games and my iPhone has my work stuff and more productivity oriented software as well.

Hope this helps!

Yes, you can either install what you need from each device directly, or if you sync the apps, just check what you want to sync on each, just like with movies.
