Hi, just got a new 16gb ipod touch. I paid for the January download, and started to put on some converted films.
The Capacity shows as only 14.84gb, but when i was transferring a film the ipod stopped, and now shows the 1.3gb film in movies, but there is 1.27gb as other. How do i do a format to clear the contents so i am back to the original 14.84gb? Would this also wipe my upgrade i paid for? p.s. i might be sending it back to ebuyer as there is a dead pixel in the bottom right of the screen (showing white always) - i a within my rights to request a new one - less than a week old? |

Just restore in iTunes. Plug in your iPod Touch to your computer. In iTunes, click on your device in the sources list on the left hand side. You should then see a summary page in the middle of iTunes with a button that says restore. Click and wait for the latest firmware to download. It should restore your applications after for the firmware is applied and your content synced.
Search the forums -- dead pixels are fairly common and (I believe) Apple's policy is like 3 dead pixels before returns are acceptable (although not 100% sure). Like I said, search...
