I sold my gf's broken sidekick for $63 dollars. The phone still turned on though and the lcd was in working order along with the battery and charger. I see broken stuff being sold on ebay all the time.

The only other thing I could think of that might be of help is, did you purchase an accidental damage plan from the electronics store you purchased it from?

I washed a nano and a motorola q and both came back to life. Put the iPod on the back of your tv, the part with the vents (assuming it is not a flat screen) this is dry constant heat. Leave it there for a week. Move it for one day to the top of the dryer while it is running, put it on top of a thin washcloth and don't let it get too hot. Then one day on top of the refrigerator. The combo of heat and vibration seems to work good luck

How long did it take you to figure this method out? lol I'd rather throw the damn thing away and buy a new one.

ya i tried turning it on by plugging it in after a couple days and it owrked. but the problemis theres a watermark on the screen, but its starting to go away. One part of the screen dosnt work when you touch it, but that might go away also. The power button and wifi are also broken, wich i think is because they are both part of the back. the back also bent when it was in the wash, so i think that replacing the back is going to work. but where can i find a back.

Well, that's nice that his suggestion is useful - it's also fraud. And who pays for the fraud? We do in higher prices. Thanks so much.

If you're not smart enough to pull it out of your pants before they go into the wash, why should we pay for your mistake?

I think myself and others already know all about you, but what you typed, enough said. Oh, I wish I can go through life without a brain or thought too, it would be a nice treat.

God, to be young and dumb again. Oh the days...

I'm actually happy your Touch is broken pb7280....it seems you needed a costly lesson. Again don't have your mom do your laundry.

I hope it was a 'rib', because that kind of suggestion is just dumb....this kid should have to pay for his silly mistake. Although, I would love to see the whole scene of him trying to return it, with a sad puppy dog face....but then again, I am glad his touch broke, now the OP has learned a lesson....to dry clean!
