How to unlock iTouch?

i have the first model of the ipod touch and its locked for 4839396 minutes and i cant find a way to unlock it! when i plug it to my computer the itunes tells me that itunes cannot register the itouch untill it is unlocked! & i dont even know how to restore it! what can i do?!?

My IPod was stolen and I found it, this person that I thought was supposed to be a friend of mine needless to say she wasnt. She stole my IPod Touch and at the time it wasnt locked so she reset it and synced it to another computer, Now I cant get it to do anything. It says that it cant sync to my computer because it is locked, and now its disabled and I cant even try to guess what the password is anymore. I have read all over the internet and found the solution that was on here about holding the buttons and all that and IT IS NOT working for me, I really cant afford to buy another one so if I dont get this one fixed I wont have one. I really want to fix my IPod I cant even get to the screen to try to guess what the code is, it is locked for 40.5 years!! I really need help!

one is to connect the ipod to the computer and the other one is the itunes logo. and it dosent have the slide bar ! what can i do ?

Well, you know, if it tell you to connect your iPod to the computer, the last thing you want to do is connect your iPod to the computer.

All of u guyz are making it too confusing or long or whatever. The easiest and workable way to do this is by doing the following and best off all u won't loose anything!:
Plug in your iPod.

Wait for it to load completely.

Open My Computer (or computer if on Vista). Make sure you can view hidden files.

Go to iPod_control.
Go to the folder named Device.
If your iPod is locked, there will be a file _locked . Rename the file to _unlocked.

Safely remove your iPod and it will be cleared.

I know an easy way to unlock the iPod Touch without knowing the password / passcode. If I post the link, I will get suspended from these forums, though.

I definitely tried this and my computer won't regester that i have plugged in an ipod! Anything else i can do?

Search for the proper firmware for your device and download it along with redsn0w, then put it in dfu mode and jailbreak it.

You WILL have to enter recovery, otherwise itunes will prompt you to enter the code.

Well i got this problem that i have forgot my password for my ipod touch 3G and it says that you need to connect it with my primary computer. But the thing is that i dont have my old computer what do i do. I tried all the things that says to do but i doesnt work on my itouch im really in a pickle. I tried to restore it but it doesnt work.

my ipod touch seems to have been disabled. I turned my password on with a four digit number, assuming that this same number would be my pasword (as i had used it before) and i go to unlock my ipod to go to the home screen and my password is wrong. I donnt understand how it isnt my password and ive tried all of my previous passwords. It now only gives me one attempt every hour. Does anyone know how i can unlock my ipod without losing any of my data (music, photos, apps, etc)???

i tried plugging in my ipod but it tell me itunes cannot connect with ipod because it is locked with a passcode and the i must enter my passcode on the ipod first , i just dont get . i wont let me even try do my password

I have a 3rd generation ipod and i let a friend barrow it and when i got it back all it shows is that itunes icon and my cord but when i hook it up it says i have to unlock my ipod, i know my passcode but it wont let me put it in the ipod. What do i do? i have tried hooking it up to itunes and i cant i am at a loss with this i have tried to contact apple tech but my warranty is up.... Help please....
