Has anyone tried the Power Support Anti-Glare Film Set for iPod touch??
I wanted to get it for my ipod touch to protect it from scratches, finger prints and the anti-glare function. Here's the link http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL...nplm=TP871LL/A Thanks in advance, Ipodlover29 |

Well I haven't tried it but the reviews on the apple store are pretty accurate..so I'd say give it a try.

Except that the screen is already scratch resistant.
Go to youtube and look for iPod touch scratch tests. I've seen it done in person-- It's HARD to scratch the ipod touch screen. The back, on the other hand, is pretty vulnerable.

it is actually well protective yours. Because it is anti glare, it hides finger print, other smudge as well, but only bad thing is that it is little dark, and I can see some kind of distortion screen. So I just took it off, back to crystal film.

I have the Power Crystal Film on my touch, and it's great. I would expect that the Power Anti-Glare film would be equally as nice. Both have received good reviews. I highly recommend them.

I've traditionally shied away from screen protectors, as I've never had much luck with them from my Palm Tungsten days. The iPhone and iPod touch screens are pretty durable, so as long as you're reasonably cautious, I honestly wouldn't be too worried about scratches.
That having been said, however, there are a lot of other valid reasons why screen protectors are a good idea.... I went for about six months without one (for the reasons I already described above), and although my screen was never damaged, it did smudge like crazy.... I was constantly wiping fingerprints off of it. At Macworld, one of the other members of the iLounge team had the Power Support screen cover on his iPhone, and in fact I didn't even really realize that he had a screen protector on it until he actually mentioned it. On the basis of that, I did decide to go out and pick up the Power Support anti-glare protector, figuring that I"d give it a try -- after all I can always peel it off if I don't like it. Well, not only does it keep the screen clean and reduce the glare, but it doesn't in any way affect the touch-sensitivity of the screen. In fact, I find that it improves the tactile feel of the screen such that it's actually nicer to use than without the screen protector. I'm using the iPhone anti-glare film set, but I'm fairly certain the experience with the iPod touch would be the same, since they're basically the same screen technology.

Wow I'm suprised people started replying to my post after so long its been like 6 weeks...anyway just to let you guys know I did purchase the power support anti-glare film set for the iPod touch and have been using it for the last 6 weeks or so and am very happy with it. It is a little expensive but I think its worth it. I also upgraded my iPod touch after I bought it and wasnt able to transfer the protector so power support sent me a new screen protector for free.

I have the Boxwave anti-glare. They do cut down on glare, but give your screen somewhat of a matte look. They are also quite finger print resistant, so you'll find you barely have to wipe the screen.

Hi,
I put the anti glare crystal film on my touch straight out of the box so can't really comment on how scratch resistant the screen is without it. I can say though that its great for keeping the smudges at bay and does reduce reflections a lot. Plus the film on the back really does stop the scratches on that side. The way I see it is why have such nice looking device then cover it in a fuggly rubber case. The film is perfect for me. Greg |

Yeah, they're great for outdoor use. I'm in Sunny So Cal, and alot of the time the anti-glare helps while walking the streets near the office checking emails at the bozillion free wifi spots....
