To get out of that press and hold the home button and sleep wake button until the screen goes black and the apple logo appears!

IF the ipod is disabled you will not be able to restore it unless you can get it into DFU mode,
As you have figured out, this requires the power button. If it's an ipod touch 4th gen you will need to lift the top assembly which is not recommended unless you have done it before. It is very likely you will damage the LCD, Digitizer, Wifi ribbon flex or all 3. Send it to a reputable repair centre. It won't cost that much to replace the button flex. |
