I've neglected to do so after the "patch" or w/e came out from Apple, but my iPod is literally dead from 0% battery.
If I connect the iPod to my computer, will it get bricked, or will it ask me if I want to update my iPod first? And also...how DO I re-jailbreak it for the new update? |

I suppose you'd have to downgrade, then just jailbreak it, and go about the proper steps to upgrade your jailbroken 'pod.

I'd suggest you check out the Hacks forum on the boards here. There's plenty of info on the jailbreak.
You can also go here for directions - http://www.touchdev.net/wiki/Jailbreak_1.1.2

By the way, there hasn't been a single report yet of a Touch getting "bricked".
