Question iTouch Timing Out

My iTouch keeps "timing out" after syncing about 400 songs...I've had to disconnect and then reconnect about 4 times so far to get all of my music synced.

I'm running Visa Home Basic, with a USB 2.0 port. I tried my other ports (they are 1.1) and kept getting the same problem...

Ideas?

You could have a driver problem, etc, with your PC. Make sure you've got the latest drivers for the USB ports on your motherboard, etc.

I've sync'd 16GB of Data to several touches on several different PC and have never had the issue.

I'm betting it's not the drivers -- I have my HP printer hooked to the UB port, and I unplug it when I'm hooking up my iPod.

And, I've used a 60GB video iPod on this port before...I've even hooked it up after I've tried syncing the iTouch...

So, it's not iTunes (because the 60GB video works), and it's not the port (the printer and the video iPod both work)...

(I hope i don't jinx myself with this update)

I shifted from my XP box that has had itunes and synced my 60gig for the past year over to my 6 month newer Vista box, installed itunes and copyed over about 2.5 gig of music and then it all synced to the touch without a problem. Thank god.

So i'm now going to try and move my whole library over to this system and try and do a real sync up.

Same problem i am having, i have the 9c738 serial number

This is a copy and paste from another post that i made about having this issue.

I just got my ipod a few hours ago.
i have the latest version of itunes.

so i connected the ipod to the computer using the usb cable that comes with it and after i setup the ipod touch i try 2 transfer all my songs from my library to my ipod and it starts like it normally would but then like a minute or two i get two messages, one that says cannot sync and the other says cannot read or sumthin or sumthin like that.

soo its taking me about 8 tries just to transfer about 490 songs

anyone else having this problem???
is there anyway to fix this????
THANKS

IS THERE ANY UPDATE ON THIS ISSUE???

it's gotta be a USB problem with that computer. It could even be spyware/virus/etc.

Highly doubt it's an iPod issue.

i'm not saying there is any ipod issue at all.
previous ipods work fine and i know for fact that my other machine has no virus or spyware problem.

and a handful of people are getting the same problem.

I've loaded 4 movies and about 10GB of music onto mine - eventually after discovering user error on my part.

At first I wasn't getting all the music on mine though and I couldn't figure out why. Anxious me was trying to use the Itouch and sync at the same time (which it appeared to be allowing). However, if you slide the unlock button left, you're also stopping the syncing.
