Wow that thing is massive. It must be pretty heavy.
No, my machined case is much lighter weight (portable) and does not have sharp edges like that. Also my case has thin, internal foam padding to cushion the iPod and avoid scratches. I'm sure that one would likely scratch the iPod pretty good with all of metal's machining marks in direct contact with the iPods' plastic surface. Here's a few pics of the one i made last summer... for my 3G. My 4G version is in the works! Enjoy...

The perforated version... and yes, the foam padding is perforated as well, so it's still protected internally...

Helix, you sure are being coy with your goodies. So give it to us straight, is there a possibility you will sell the case or are these custom one offs? If you look at the order people asked for them I would be 4th in line
hint hint

Well MorganB,
This thread has been brought to the attention of the Founder of iPodlounge (Dennis Lloyd). He and I have discussed some possibilities of how I should handle this. I'll have to get back to you on that topic. But I will tell you that something is in the works. It will happen. Dennis has vowed to help me protect this concept and these designs.

Very nice cases! How many of these have you made, and when did you start with them? Very sleek, and much nicer than those cheap plastic ones.

If you don't end up selling these, I will have to steal yours.
Um, by the way, what's your address? I, um, need to deliver those girl scout cookies you ordered.
