2nd Generation Shuffle

Anyone know if the 2nd generation Shuffle will ba able to play Lossless? Or will I have to go wav?

The second generation Shuffle only plays:

Well I suppose wav is lossless, isn't it but I am guessing you meant can it play Apple Lossless.

How big is a song in Apple Lossless? How many would fit on a 1G shuffle? 8? 10?

That seems counter intuitive to me.

WAV is not lossless. it's totally different format. look at this chart.

shuffle does not support lossless.

Hmm. Eight to ten songs (1 Album) without compression ... sounds like a CD Discman at a fraction of the size. I can see the point of that, especially if you're old school.
