removing songs from my shuffle!!!

ok
so my shuffle was mounted to my pc which died on me 2 weeks ago.
on my shuffle are valuable mp3s that only exist on my shuffle.
how can i take the tracks from my shuffle which are not in data mode and transfer them to my new computer?

is it possible?
i just cant imagine that my tracks are stuck on my shuffle forever...
i cant even mount my shuffle to my new computer because it will erase what i currently have on there.

is itunes already installed on the new computer? if it is, follow this
Quote:
hit ctrl-alt-del to open the Task Mananger.
Processes (tab) > find iPodService.exe and iTunesHelper.exe and "End Process" for both of them.
Now plug in your ipod, and it will show up just like if disk use was enabled. Follow the directions above. The 2 services will start again when you start iTunes.

my computer > Tools > Folder Options > View (tab) >
Under "Hidden files and folders" select "Show hidden files and folders". Click OK

With the ipod plugged in, it should show up as a removeable drive.
iPod > iPod_Control >
Now you should see a "Music" folder. Right-click on it, and copy it to your hard drive (I'll use the desktop).

With the "Music" folder on your desktop, right click on it,
Properties >
Uncheck the "Hidden" box (in the "General" tab which should have opened) and click apply. It will ask if you want to do only the folder, or the folder and the subfolders and files. Choose to do all of it and click OK.

Now all we need to do is get these weird files and folders organized somehow. Thankfully iTunes can do this for us.

Start iTunes.
Edit > Preferences... > Advanced
In the "General" tab (should be open) check the box that says "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library". Also make sure "Keep iTunes Music folder organized" is checked. Click OK.

Now add the folder to the library.
File > Add folder to library >
find the "Music" folder and click OK.

Once its done, you can find all the music properly labeled and in correct folders in your irunes music folder. You can delete the copy of "Music" from your desktop, and change back any settings you would like.
if itunes is not installed yet, you can skip the first step.
