Can you put music saved on your computer onto the shuffle

Sorry if this question seems a bit stupid but readin the apple website I can only see it saying that you can put music onto it from iTunes or from CD's.
My question is can you download music from Kazaa,etc. and drag and drop them onto the iPod shuffle or do you have to buy it off iTunes

yeah you can, no problem. it just has to be in itunes (you just have to add it to your library in itunes). if its mp3 then it will work fine.

so you can import music saved on the computer into iTunes and then drag and drop from iTunes onto the shuffle

As long as it is a MP3 or AAC. Unprotected WMVs will be converted to MP3/AAC when you drag it onto your library, but there is no way to add Protected WMVs without removing the protection.
