I sync my ipod sometimes when i find something new to download from the net. but everytime i do, strange things happen. Some of my songs gets thier tags altered or the album covers dissapear or songs that i did not put on the playlist end up on the playlist or some songs disapear from the playlist. Does anyone know what causes this?

Tag alterations come from MP3 files not getting updated by iTunes. Set the tags, right click the mp3, choose convert ID3 Tags and use version 2.3.
Outside of that, none of the other behavior is explainable. Is your system stable? Are you the only one modifying your library? If you have other people involved that could explain it.

No, just me. i'm the only one who operates my itunes and ipod. I do have more than one playlists, not sure how many i have, quite a few though. Something else that happens and i looked on you board it has been mentioned before a few songs that i got from the net, it plays fine on itunes but skips over on my ipod. but it only happens to the mp3 songs i download from the net.

iPods skipping songs could be invalid tags or unsupported version of tags.
You can use the Convert Tag process as described above to resolve that too. There are other tagging software you can use like Tag&Rename. Also song skipping can be corrupted files. getting good copies is the only fix.

I rightclicked my MP3, there is no "Convert ID3 Tags" on the menu list.
