Delete Music

Hi all,

I cannot figure out how to delete music off my Ipod., i open Up I Tunes on my computer then click Music on the left side and then all my music i have on my Ipod shows up so i uncheck the ones i dont want but they will not get removed from my IPOD how in the world do i remove music off my IPOD?

You have to change your iPod options so that it only syncs selected songs. You would be better off using playlists to manage your iPod though as the check method is old. It was used back in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003 when the playlist ability in iTunes weren't the best. Things have changed now. Put the songs you want in a playlist and sync only that playlist to your iPod.

Another point to make is that if you're manually managing music and video, unchecking songs in your library has no effect on the content of your iPod. The "sync only checked items" option only applies to auto-sync'd iPods (and as noted above, is a terrible way to manage content on your iPod).
