iPod Nano 4th Gen vs 6th Gen - Volume/sound?

I had a nano 4th gen and loved it, then got a 5th gen and loved it but soon ran out of space (needed 16gb but only had 8gb versions). Then for the last couple of years I've been using my employer-sponsored blackberry for my music and it sucks so bad I give up on it finally and went out and bought a new Nano 16gb the other day (6th gen). It's okay but, for the price, I'm kind of disappointed, particularly given the price.

Today I was told by a friend that for a lot less I could get a refurb 16gb from my local Gamestop, but it would be a 4th or 5th gen. I don't use photos/video camera so the 4th gen would be fine. My only question is this:

Is there a difference in volume level or sound quality between the 4th/5th gen nano and the current one?

Not enough to notice. We have a 3rd gen, 5th gen and 6th gen. They all sound the same.
