Question iPod nano 4th generation stuck on apple logo - Please help!!

It always gets stuck on the apple logo (the one with the black background and white apple logo). Sometimes it's pretty bright, sometimes it's not. I try to reset it and it simply goes off for a second and comes back and freezes on the apple logo. I've tried to restore, reset, and all the other "r"s, but nothing will happen. When I put it into disk mode, it works perfectly in iTunes; it syncs everything. I've tried draining the battery by leaving it overnight, but that doesn't work. If you need any more information to help, I'll be glad to provide it. Please help, I need this fixed soon! Thanks!

Yeah, I've gotten it to work before, but it takes so long! And if it does work, will I keep having to do this?

I would do a restore of your ipod with itunes. Bring it back to empty factory settings and reload it again.

When my 4g nano was crashing a lot it was because of a messed up artwork database. You can delete that if you think that might be causing it to crash.

So you're saying that the album artwork may or may not have something to do with it? I'll delete them (cause I have a lot) and see what happens.

Can you add music with itunes? What happens before you the ipod crashes?

To delete artwork open up the ipod as a drive like e:\ or basically what you do with a usb stick. Make sure itunes is not running.

Go into the hidden ipod_control folder and cut the files into the artwork dir. to another place and then eject the ipod.

Well, when my iPod did work, I would go run with it and the screen would freeze and the music would keep playing. Then I'd have to restart it. It would freeze sometimes, but I could always just reset it two or three times and it would work. And yes, I can add music from iTunes. I'll try deleting the artwork the way you said
