it's like a cycle. keeps saying connect to itunes to restore. itunes restores it and it goes back to the same screen. i did the "center" button and "menu" reset tons of times and i formatted it using the windows formatting tool, to fat32 with quick format AND regular format and still no luck! it keeps going to the white disk mode screen when i plug it in..
note: someone put water on the ipod but i took it apart and dried it and let it sit for days and it's been doing this ever since. think the water fried it? |

Yes, the water will have affected it. The best thing to do, when you get an electronic device wet, is to open it up and remove the battery immediately.
You could remove the LCD and battery and soak it in warm white vinegar to dissolve any copper salts that formed due to electrolysis. Cheers, Ian |
