HAHA, I know you're thinkin' "why in the world would someone want to add bulk to thier Nano"!
Well, I love the Nano and have decided to keep it despite have a new Touch, but it's really tiny and cramped for my LARGE & arthritic hands. I'm looking for a case that will add a little width to the Nano so that I can more comfortably reach the click-wheel with my thumb without straining to pull it back to reach it. I would be interested in a clear hard case that has a flip-out style video stand, or a leather wallet type case, or even a thick skin type. Probably in that order. What would you guys recommend? I would like it to remain as light as possible too... Thanks |

Hey,
I picked up a Speck hard shell case at Target. The fabric back clear front model. Reg $19 clearance priced at $4.95. It is for the 4G Nano, but I modified mine to work with the 5G. The back wraps around the sides in the middle & I added (glued) some thin rubber strips on the inside of this wrap around piece, so that the Nano fits snugly. Leave the clear front piece off. I have yet to drill holes for the camera. This case adds a bit of grip to the Nano & if you slide the Nano out you then flip it over & slide it back in face down when it needs to be protected. I will add some sort of clear "skin" to the back, so it is better protected from scratches when flipped over. I bought several at Target to experiment with & am removing the fabric & covering it with leather. Similar to the Vaja case, but I understand that the Vaja case has a problem with headphone plug interference. This Spec case is perfect for me, as it adds a bit of size & grip to the Nano, without covering it completely. If you are handy at all, this is a great project & if you luck out & find them at Target clearance, it is cheap too.
