I need to know exactly what you are trying to do. Be as specific as possible in explaining.

The first thing I would do is make sure you have proper permissions to whatever location your music files are in. This could cause problems. Make sure you have read/write access.

Make sure you are trying to drag the songs to a REGULAR playlist and not a SMART playlist. You can distinquish the two by the icon that represent them in the playlist list. The smartplaylist has a purple color and a gear icon, the regular playlists are blue and have a music note.

Be very specific in your dragging. You need to be very exact in getting your dragging over to the right location to get them to copy over.

Are these playlists in iTunes or on the iPod connected to iTunes? If on an iPod connected to iTunes, you have to have the iPod set to manually manage songs and videos to drag stuff from iTunes to the iPod.

Additionally, there is a small chance that you have created a folder and not a playlist. you can't drag songs to a folder, only to an actual regular playlist.
