You can't use them together in stock form.

without you installing any plugins or patches or anything. I don't know if there are any such plugins/hacks, though.

Windows media player will not play or recognize AAC files. An AAC file is essentially an MP4 file. That's a higher quality music file than an MP3. Apple's iPods and iTunes will play and recognize AAC, MP3, WAV, and AIFF. Windows media player will recognize and play MP3, WAV, and WMV. Windows media player can't play any files in an iTunes folder. You will have to export them to another file in a format that it can use.

Why would you want to use Windows media player if you have an iPod? The only common file type is MP3 and WAV.

I don't think you can. Besides, itunes in my opinion is better. If you have music in windows media player, just transfer it to My Music and then to itunes.

Windows Media Player will not recognize iPod, however, both WMP and Itune have access to all folders in the computer.

1) make sure your songs are already in windows media player (you can close this program if you want)
2)open Itune and go to "recently added." A list of your songs from WMP will be in the large opened window.
3)if your songs are not there, to go file/add to libruary/find your song/open
4)now scroll to the bottom of the window and your song will be there
5)highlight the song
6)click the picture of the iPod right under the word DEVICES (another window will pop so you can sync)
7)click sync and wait for it to finish then close
DONE!

Now go to your iPod/recently added/songs/find your song(s) - many times it's at the end.

Hope this helps.
