Does anyone know how to fully test an iPod to make sure it's working proper? Namely, testing the battery to see if everything is in order and if it holds a charge for a long time. Thanks.

This is from kornchild
Battery life also depends on aspects like using the click wheel (ie changing albums or loading new albums) and the hard drive spinning. In order to conduct a real battery test, you will need to: 1. Make a playlist that is about 25 hours in length. You can either repeat the same songs over and over again or just make a playlist of songs. 2. Use the stock Apple earbuds. 3. Load the playlist and set the volume to 50%. 4. Don't touch your iPod. Let your iPod sit there until it turns off. Don't adjust anything! Also keep in mind that Apple conducted their test with 128kbps iTunes AAC files. Hope that helps.
