Help please, my ipod nano is frozen and it won't show up on the computer.

The problem started when I connected the ipod nano when the computer was starting up, then disconnected my ipod again after about few seconds even before it the main screen of Windows came up. Now it has the "Do no disconnect" screen without background light and reseting doesn't work either. Also restore won't work because now my ipod won't even show up on My Computer or iTunes. I reinstalled iTunes with the latest version but it doesn't show up. I also tried connecting the ipod to another computer but it won't show up on that computer either.
Someone please help me!!

Oh wait! hold on, just this second an IPOD came up on the Devices sectino of iTunes. It also has a restore button. But when I press it, an error message reads "There was a problem downloading the iPod software for the iPod "iPod". The requested resource was not found".
This iPod nano is actually not mine but my cousin's. He let me borrow it for few months, so the only thing I have is the ipod, usb, and iTunes. Also, the iPod screen of iTunes just plainly says iPod and without a name. Informations are all in n/a and the picture of the ipod is the normal ipod instead of the usual ipod nano. I think everything got deleted on my ipod. OMG please help me please I'm gonna cry.

bring it to the apple store and get help at the genius bar they might replace it for you if you have your warranty still

is there way to send the ipod so that people at apple can repair it and then resend it back to me?
