Question about the 8 GB Nanos

Right now the 8 gig nanos are only available in black I heard somewhere that in February that Apple will offer the 8 gigs in the other colors. Does anyone know if this is true? I really would love an 8 gig nano . I have a white 4 gig one that is about 75% full I would live a silver nano.

Nobody knows for sure...as usual. I highly doubt it will though. It seems like a good marketing scheme by Apple.

I doubt Apple will release the 8GB model in other colours any time soon, if at all. More than likely never.

I bought a blue 4gb yesterday. I was thinking I would like a silver. I have to say I thought the black was actually the coolest color with the top and bottom plastics also being black.

I was tempted to spend the extra and get the 8gb version but I fought the temptation. The only thing about the black Nano is that the scroll wheel may scratch easier than the white ones.

Why would the black scrollwheel scratch more easily than the others?

On my first Video, you could see scuff marks on the scroll wheel and my friend has the same thing on hers. Not a life and death issue but I am anal about certain things.

Folks get real. Of course apple will offer the 8GB in other colors eventually... however about the same time a 10, 12, 14, or 16 GB model will come out in exclusive colors so the cycle will continue. Saying "never" to color options at 8GB is plain foolish, however it is also foolish to wait to Feb on the basis of a rumor.
