Ok, I searched on iTunes, all I'm looking for is a basic way to save/backup all the music that I have. On iTunes however, it is very confusing. First off it talks about how to copy music to use on another computer, then authorizing and deauthorizing if I'm going to be on another computer.
What I want is a basic way to backup all my songs in my iTunes Library and store them on my iPod as data so that if my computer crashes I'll still have all my music. I want to be able to retrieve my music from my computer (or if possible, from any other computer) using my iPod. Thanks Manillo.

just load all your songs onto your iPod and keep them there. then download a program called PodUtil, which will allow you to transfer all the songs off the iPod back onto the computer.

Ok, that sounds simple enough.
However, that would be a daunting task. I have 570 songs in my Library but only 300 in my nano. Is there a way I can only add those songs that aren't already on my iPod, instead of going through all 570 songs and checking to see which one I already have? There must be a simple, easy way to add only the songs in your library to your iPod that aren't on there already right? ~Manillo

Or just enable disk mode on your iPod and drag and drop a copy of your Music folder into your iPod. (Assuming all your music is in one place on your PC.)

All of my music isn't in one place. How do I go about doing that?
