There are no songs or pictures on my 2 GB ipod nano, but I only have 1.3 GB available! What is wrong?

because of the way computer memory is computed a 2GB nano actually has less memory than 2GB. though it should have more free memory than 1.3GB, it should have around 1.7GB free space.

I had the same amount of space left too. I'll have to do the same thing I guess. I just went through all of the settings and made it perfect though
