i highly recommend using the pelican screen protector for psp on your nano's. i've used a pda screen cover on my nano but they scratch up as well. the psp screen protector is a bit thicker and made of a sturdier film than that of the pda screen protector. you do need to cut the psp screen protector into shape. it doesn't blur the display in any way, it's cheap ($5 at bestbuy), doesn't leave any residue on your nano should you decide to take it off and is very easy to apply. i currently have it on the front and back of my nano. no more pesky smudges to deal with. best of all no scratches. nadda.
