iPod SDK ? New Griffen iTrip for Nano tuned on nano screen

Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. Take a look :
griffintechnology dot com

at /products/itripnano/index.php

The 'tuner' for the nano iTrip happens on the Nano screen in what must be custom software.

How is this happening without an iPod SDK (software kit) ?

who knows, who cares? seems like a nice product if the range is good, and if it sounds better than a CD player.

Who cares???

This would open up a world of software for the ipod. Anybody could then write little apps for it. For example pod2go is great, but instead of sticking all the info in crappy notes, it could for example display proper weather info, better formated movie times. You could have a nicer clock face, etc.

With an SDK if you wanted to leave your ipod simple that is fine, but if you wanted to extend the functionality than other programmers could.

It's not custom anything, it's in the new firmware update from apple. Pop it open with ipodwizard and see for yourself :P

They put it in themselves to give the nano radio support (provided you buy the itrip tuner).
