Brasso = Ownage!

I used the Brasso/Todd Dailey directions and I should give him my iPod! These are the best directions out there! Took every little distorting scratch out of my screen on the nano and all the scratches on the back and front! Did step by step like he did! KUDOS to Brasso!!!!

So it does work?

How much Brasso is needed? I saw a can at Coles yesterday and it looked pretty big... And it was $6.

I mean, I don't want to use $6 and only use 20 cents worth of the stuff.

And don't use it too much, because it wears down the plastic.

The can I bought was at safeway and was $3. And like you said I only used about 20 worth! But worth every Penny! I have my nano right now in my sunglass bag untill I get my case which is in shipping right now, along with a screen protector!

Don't rush to give your iPod away - the Brasso solution and other scratch removal tips have been around for a long time - The DEFINITIVE Scratches Thread first saw light all the way back in early 2004. But if you want to find the earliest mentions of Brasso look at this thread in the old forums..... - October 28th 2002!

Been using Brasso / Duraglit for removing scratches on Mobile phone screens for approx 10 years now (and before that on other plastics from when I was a kid [many many years ago] ) so the idea didn't start with iPods either.

But you'd be surprised at how many people think you are taking the pi$$

awesome great for you i'm glad it worked out for you.

30gb iPod photo- has been sent to my aunt. She loves it, and is very careful with it, as I've heard. Hopefully I can get it back when the battery dies or the hard drive fails.

30gb iPod video- just got it as of 12/13/05 YAY!!!

Just got a can of brasso...

I tried it on a small portion of the bottom of my nano, it seems to work but it left more scratches going the way I polished it. I must have been doing something wrong, maybe I polished it with my fingernail by accident?
