I think you are all missing the point of ou8thisSN...
He is saying that materialism is basically not an ideal characteristic to have. I have a Karma (I think it still has the best feature set for a music player to date and it's getting old) but will get a Nano. I'll get a nano for running. Am I materialistic, in general, probably to an extent as I think it's impossible not to be living in this society. However, I do try and restrain myself from just buying into consumerism blindly. I want to lose some weight and the karma will die for sure if I keep on running with it and it's a pain because of the size for running. The nano will hopefully keep me from getting fatter... :-) To those of you saying he is a communist or linking his thinking to some sort of terrorist thinking, you really just paint a terrible picture about how many Americans are truly ignorant.
