Need Help

I just bought my Nano and I downloaded the stuff from the Cd. When i plug the nano into the usb which is in the comp. Nothing happens it is just blank. Does anyone know how I can get my comp to recognize the Nano. Lmk thanks

try restarting your computer and then booting your computer back up. then plug the ipod in again. if that dosent work then reinstal the software.

ive tried that like 3 times it says a higher version controls the software that was on the disk. and itunes doenst open and nothing shows up on the ipod

try unpluging the ipod and reseting it, hold menu and the center button then plug it back in

the ipod doesnt even turn on at all when u plug it in or anything

ill plug anything else into the usb and it will make a noise but when i put the ipod usb it does nothing

have you charged the ipod at all? when you plug it into the usb port. what happens? anything? does the screen light up?

nope nothing happens at all. it has been sitting connected to the usb for prob an hour now

well if theres nothing on the nanos screen, not even a charging symbol... im out of ideas.

leave it connected for a while maby the battery is so lowit dosent have enough power to run yet. or you may have gotten a defective unit. does the ipod turn on at all?

there are probally other people that know what to do, ive named everything i know by reading these forums..

it has not turned on at all. with my luck it is defective. but i will leave it charging
