I planned on buying this product...now I'm not so sure.
I posted a picture and thread under the "Nano" forum, called "cheap vinyl case for nano"
I might just keep my homemade case for awhile.....I do not get ANY rainbow effect with my "less then a dollar" clear vinyl case........

I ordered on the 17th, and it arrived the 23rd = 5 business days, and I live in Europe. Should be quicker if you're from USA, I guess.

Frank D: If it's fear of the the rainbow effect that keeps you from trying this out (30-day money back guarantee), then don't be afraid. It took me about 5 minutes just tilting my nano back and forth to finally see the rainbow. And as mentioned before, the rainbow effect is apparent on an unprotected nano as well. If you have none of this with your homemade case, run to the patent office!

Tokay, how have you been using your nano post application? And more importantly, does the material scratch or mar easy?

Thanks again dude.

The rainbow effect is no big deal, really. To my mind the major issue is the textured surface on the screen -- this leads to slight rippling and degrades the text and photo images. This was the dealbreaker for me. At some angles it's not as noticeable. But for most angles, I found it really annoying.

Been using it every day since I applied the shield. Been keeping it mostly in my jacket pocket, but I just HAD to try.... so I put it in my jeans pocket with my keys.. nothing. Totally scratch-free.
A nice property of the film is how it keeps clean noticably better than the original finish. Fingerprints on the back doesn't show that good compared to the unprotected metal, and the front is looking nice and shiny.

random person: I have the exact opposite experience with the texture of the film, actually.. I can see the slightly rippled appearance of the film when holding it at very weird angles. When hold spot on, or any other angle where the screen is readable from, there's no distortion AT ALL. Maybe I was lucky with the application or something... I dunno.

i'll post my exp about decal girl soon

i'll post my exp about decal girl soon

I am going with decal girl first...so much cheaper...if that isn't up to par i'll prob go with invisible shield...i just can't buy a case that is going to bulk up the mp3 player i bought for its small size. it just doesn't make any sense -- hence why i want to find the perfect plastic protector.

Well the CEO of the company applied mine on himself (at MacWorld) but he did it very very quickly, so who knows? Anyway I'm glad you are liking yours. BTW I totally agree on fingerprints and durability -- the stuff is excellent.

I was thinking of buying a white ipod nano. Do the white ones have the same glossy finish on the front as the black ones?
I was thinking about buying one of those iPod socks to put it in. Does anyone know if these are any good?
Also, I have a little bag that came with my glaases that are specifically for cleaning lenses (it says so), so I was thinkin of perhaps using this. What do you think?
Or, I could get that invisibleShield. Sounds good but application seems messy

To anyone who ordered an invisibleshield: Did you ever get any conformation email of your transaction from them? I payed through pay pal and the payment took about a week to clear. I figured they would send me some sort of conformation after the payment cleared but I still haven't heard from them.

I ordered thru visa. No Confirmation either.

Mulla, I have a yellow sock. I really like it. Though it does become a bit fuzzy after awhile like any sock. For the nano, it doesn't have to stretch at all though. So it's kinda a loose fit.

I received one email from them the very same day I ordered. Be adviced, it got sorted as spam on my Hotmail account, so there's a high probability the same thing may happen with other spam sorting software.

If you have a spam folder, check it!

I ordered today and e-mailed them to confirm as I didn't get an e-mail either. They quoted "Technical difficulties" with their e-mail system, but the order had processed fine.

Fingers crossed I can withstand the temptation to "unwrap" the 'pod before the screen protector arrives!
