Sorry to repost, but noone answered my last one. Does the Invisible Shield hide the scratches that are on the nano already? I don't have any deep scratches, just hairline light ones from my shirt or pocket.

this is what my case looks like. It it slightly different then everyone else's case.
To give my review, it is possible to screw up on installing your shield. I didn't put much water as recommended and had all this trouble with the shield sticking on my nano slanted. I really should have applied more water. I screwed up on my front area and I created very tiny air bubbles on the front. Still kindof hard to see. You can see small white spots which are air bubbles which is from a poor installation. Still, it looks nice and slick. I took my advice for the back piece and no bubbles there. After having it for a week, I love it. When looking really closely, it's not the smoothest piece of shield in the world. It seriously does look like material from helicopter blades. Kindof rugged. To a owner, this is a very minor issue with appearance being rugged. The feeling of it doesn't feel as smooth as without the shield, but that didn't bother me. Some things that bothered me. I did happen to get dust underneat the shield and now its stuck there forever. Once it is on and dried, I'm really not sure if I want to remove it off and put it back on. I'm thinking it'll stretch the shield trying to remove it and the shield will not be the same shape. Another minor flaw is since the shield covers up the top of the nano, it covers up the section next to the hold, which I like to use my finger nail to turn hold off. With the shield being a little thick, it makes the hold button slightly harder to turn off. Probably the biggest problem for me, which I should have taken the other option, was not choosing the wheel cut-off. The feeling of the clickwheel is not the same anymore. You need to push the buttons a little harder in order for them to work. I recommend people to get the wheel cutoff option if you desire the feel of the clickwheel like the original, unless you want a no air protection on your clickwheel, then stick with this option. A complaint that people might make is that it doesn't cover some parts of the corners. Corners are exposed, an can be dinged up, but just learn to deal with it. The rainbow complaints i heard before is very minor. You barely pay attention to the rainbox effect cause its not that noticable. Just having a protection like this gives you an extra security that your piece doesn't get scratched up. I seriously can walk around knowing that my nano is in my pocket and not getting scratched up. |

They have a new video up. Pretty impressive. Much slicker than their last video. Unfortunately, their servers must be using dial up, because it took forever, but enjoy.

The IS product is definitely overpriced. Cover the front surface (the screen at a minimum) with something less expensive (i.e. BSE) and get a separate case for protection against drops. I have IS on my Nano and Garmin GPS and the screen image quality is just fine. The only issue I have with the IS product is that it's overpriced. Also, when I first bought my Nano I worried WAY too much about protecting it. Unless you’re really abusing your iPod, you’re more likely to replace it due to technology advancement than scratched surfaces. Just use it!

Ayamy,
Just make sure you take your time with the installation. Make sure you turn it off, and put the hold button on. Then just take the time to set it perfectly. I think once you start it will be a lot easier than you think it will. Thats how it was for me anyway. Hope this helps. |

Just curious... has anyone out there bought an InvisibleShield for a Black 2G nano? I'm very interested in this sort of protection for the device, but I'm thinking it might not look so hot on the matte black finish of the new 8GB nano.

hey guys
I'm getting a 2nd gen 8gb ipod nano and I wanted to buy the invisible shield. However, I'm slightly confused if the "2nd Gen iPod nano - Full Body Shield" comes with the click wheel cutout? As the product description says it's just one whole piece.
