i ordered black originally, but then switched it to black. i realized after reading so many comments that the black will probly look crappy after being handled in real world situation. all those fingerprint smudges and scratches. urgh. so i switched to the signature white.

All i wanna know is which color to buy.. They both look good and i just can't decide. So please give me your opinions on which color looks best BLACK or WHITE?? So please take a few second to vote!!!!

Played with them in an Apple store; both are aesthetically pleasing but black looks better. However scratches and fingerprints are reportedly less visible on the white model. I chose white because the black 4GB was out of stock.
If that doesn't help, flip a coin. |

Surely you want to ask which looks the best and which will you buy? I like the look of the black more but have plumped for white to avoid the fingerprints problem.

I got black 'cos it's smex.
I don't really need to worry about scratches, since I'm leaving the film on my iPod on until cases come out, and then I'll pretty much always have the case on, thus endless protection.

its funny that white is outnumbering black on this board. but according to initial reports then black is outselling white by 5x. so that pretty much says that apple enthusiasts prefer white since its apples color, while average consumers prefer black.
ive never been a fan of apples white movement (which is why i havent bought an ibook yet) so i went with black. |

I ordered a black nano. It maches my cell phone, hard drive enclosure, and would look nicely in my all black entertainment center as well. I just wanted a change from my two white ipods, even if it is more prone to showing dirt, dust, and scratches.

Absolutely, positively, without hesitation, BLACK.
In fact, when I first saw the Nano on Apple's website. I though, "Huh,...that's kinda cute. I may have to think about getting one" Then I saw that it came in all black. It's what I've been waiting for since I got my 2G, three years ago. I soooo can't wait till Saturday when I can get one.
